Every Text Style on This Site, Organized (138 Styles Across 24 Tools)

We went through every active tool on this site and counted every distinct style each one offers. The total came to 138 styles across 24 generators — enough that most people never see more than the handful their favorite tool happens to show first. This is the full index, organized by category, each linking straight to the tool that makes it.

The count only includes styles that are genuinely distinct outputs — not settings or variations of the same underlying transformation — so it’s a real number, not an inflated one.

How We Counted

Each tool’s style list was checked directly against its actual output rather than its marketing copy — we counted the number of distinct named transformations each generator applies, not settings like intensity sliders or color pickers that modify one style rather than adding a new one. That’s why the Cursed Text Generator counts as 4 (its intensity levels are genuinely different outputs) while the adjustable blur strength on the Blurry Text Generator doesn’t add to the style count at all — it’s one continuous style with a variable parameter, not several distinct styles.

This also means the number will drift over time as tools are added, refined, or occasionally retired — treat 138 as an honest snapshot rather than a permanent figure, and check the tools index for the current live count.

Not Sure Where to Start?

If you’re browsing rather than looking for something specific, three tools cover most of what people actually come here for:

  • Want to see the range before committing? Start with the Fancy Text Generator — 15 styles side by side is the fastest way to find a look you like.
  • Want something practical, not decorative? The Bold Text Generator and Italic Text Generator cover the styles people actually reuse for emphasis, not just novelty.
  • Want something with an edge? The Dark & Cursed category above is the place to look, starting with Cursed Text if you want the effect explained in full in our Zalgo breakdown.

Fancy & Aesthetic (47 styles across 5 tools)

The largest category, and the natural starting point if you’re not sure exactly what you want yet.

Dark & Cursed (28 styles across 4 tools)

Built from combining diacritical marks stacked at different intensities — see our explainer on how the technique actually works if you want the mechanism behind it.

Bold, Italic & Formatting (34 styles across 5 tools)

The most practically useful category — see our bold vs. italic comparison for when to reach for which.

Gothic, Ancient & Historical (12 styles across 3 tools)

Shape & Symbol (9 styles across 2 tools)

Fun & Meme (8 styles across 2 tools)

Visual & Image Export (3 tools, image-based)

These don’t produce copy-paste Unicode text — they render to a downloadable PNG instead, which is what makes them useful for screenshots, thumbnails, and design work.

A Word on Overlap

A few styles legitimately show up in more than one tool, and that’s worth being upfront about rather than hiding. The Fancy Text Generator’s 15 styles and the Stylish Text Generator’s 15 styles both draw from the same underlying Unicode Mathematical Alphanumeric block, so some individual character sets — bold, italic, gothic — appear in both, curated into two different-feeling collections rather than being 30 fully unique styles. Similarly, several Fancy Text styles (bubble, strikethrough, wide) are also available as dedicated single-purpose tools elsewhere on this list, for anyone who wants just that one style without scrolling through fourteen others.

This isn’t padding the count — each tool genuinely renders that many outputs live when you type into it — but if you’re looking for the number of completely unique underlying transformations rather than the number of ways to access them, it’s meaningfully lower than 138. We’d rather say that plainly than let the bigger number do work it hasn’t earned.

The Math

47 + 28 + 34 + 12 + 9 + 8 = 138 Unicode text styles, across every generator on the site, with the 3 image-export tools counted separately in their own category since they produce a downloadable PNG rather than copy-paste text. That figure is pulled directly from what each tool actually renders, not estimated — and it will change as new tools are added, since it reflects what’s live rather than a fixed target.

If you only bookmark one page from this list, make it the full tools index — every generator mentioned here, plus anything added after this article was published.

FAQ

How many Unicode text styles are there in total, across the whole standard?
Unicode’s Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block alone defines around 13 complete alphabet styles, and combining marks, enclosed characters, and other blocks add many more possible effects on top of that. The 138 figure here is specific to what this site’s tools currently generate, not a count of every style theoretically possible in Unicode.

Why do some tools have more styles than others?
It depends on how many distinct, genuinely different-looking outputs a given transformation supports. Fancy Text has 15 because Unicode’s Mathematical Alphanumeric block alone supports that many alphabet styles; Void Text has 4 because the “hollow” aesthetic only has so many meaningfully different variations before they start repeating.

Will this list stay accurate?
New tools get added over time, so treat the specific count as a snapshot rather than a permanent number — the tools index always reflects what’s currently live.
